……………….After much deliberation and looking around the massive food-court here we final-lii decided to have our Saturday morning breakfast at the neighbourhood La Sunguchera as the name says. The restaurant is fair-lii big with wall seating coupled with bar-stools along the one wall some tables and chairs in the centre of the floor and at the back is the hustle and bustling of the busy kitchen. The large wall mirror give the place some nice effect. The decor is nice and home-lii with some old bicycles hanging in the high-ceiling with its wire type of lampshades and on the floor is a hop-scotch den painted giving the ambiance of the neighbourhood even some black & white family photos hanging on the wall. The menu-card had much to offer and they had a breakfast-combo which included a fruit-juice or milkshake and coffee with whatever you ordered. All for $3,990 peso. We ordered the bacon, eggs, potato-wedges and toast and also the one offering handmade chorizo sausage. And your meal is served in a snazz-ii Pan on a Hot-Tray. The food was fresh and very delicious it was served with outstanding service excellence as our waiter was very pleasant and also the kitchen-staff as you could perceive that they were happy preparing the orders reaching them. There was homemade muffins and biscuits on display in the counter display-shelves. Wines and beers were also available here. We enjoyed our visit here and would recommend this restaurant to others for the fresh foods and pleasant services rendered during our visit here………………..
La Moneda Palace

………………..Must say this is not an impressive building like many of the “Capitalio’s” that we have encountered in our world travelling escapades. It looks more like a concrete fort two level high with only the centre been a level higher. There are armed sentries at the almost two storeys high double steel/wooden gates. Unlike many other Parliament building in the world here the public is not allowed entree. But we did discover later that if you booked a tour with a reputed or approved tour company then you would be able to go inside. A few statues of past president grace the surrounds and the lawns around the place is well kept and green. Two active fountains are in front of the building on either sides of the gate. A steel-mash barrier is placed in a front of the building and form a semi-circle from one end of the building to the other end this put the public at least 50 to 80 meters away from the entrance. Seven flag-poles fly the Chilean flags right here where the public can stand and observe the happenings around this important place! It was good to see and visit this place………………….
.....What a stunning building back to back with the La Moneda Palace (the state-lii office of the President) where the entrance to the building is downstairs and you have to walk down a ramp to get there! It’s no dull walk because the first sighting to greet you is the water cascading down the full length of the ramps width coming from the roof-top fountain indeed a pleasant watery sound and sight. Then you are greeted by the neat signage and the big glass entrance. The level on which you arrive give you the impression of a super large atrium with smaller galleries on either side! The design of this building seems to be around “Ramps” again to get downstairs you walk down the ramps on either side. Looking down you will see a large area with comfortable simple-settees where you can sit and enjoy the shadow-video shows playing on the walls. Downstairs there are the Cinemas, a nice size restaurant, lots of smaller shops selling books, jewelry and artwork. The restroom facilities are nice and clean. It is free to gain access to this beautiful exhibition center and it is a very worthwhile experience to visit here!.....
