Frangipani Beach Resort
Our stay in Frangipani was amazing. This was our first time in Anguilla. The resort itself is beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. Straw Hat restaurant is located in the resort, so we had easy access to delicious food, including a breakfast credit for guests that made some items free. The concierge desk was extremely helpful. They assisted in booking ferry rides from Sint Maarten, an island hopping tour, car rental, required COVID testing, as well as spa reservations.
I planned on proposing to my girlfriend on the trip, but had no idea what to do since this was a new country for us. Thankfully, concierge agent Josette Davis pulled out all the stops. As you can see in the attached pictures, she event planned our entire proposal evening: coordinating a perfect beach spot, booking a photographer, having props set up (marry me sign, blanket, pillows, candles, flowers, torches, bucket of champagne, etc.). They also suggested a time of 30 minutes before sunset, which ended up having the most ideal atmosphere for pictures. After relaxing there and taking pictures for around 20-30 minutes, Josette hinted that we return to our room. There, I surprised her again with another setup that included balloons, flower petals, a love sign, chocolates, a candle, tea lights, as well as a tray of personalized cookies and macarons--which was also captured by the photographer.
Overall, the service here was extremely polite. Everywhere we went, we were offered complimentary rum punch. If we wanted to lay by the beach, they'd lay down towels at the chaises we chose. They also have twice-daily room cleaning.
But again: cannot express enough gratitude to Josette and the rest of the staff for organizing and executing the proposal scene. You all truly made this vacation a dream engagement.
