This museum was one we actually stumbled upon. It's not in the museum row with all the other Smithsonian Museums but it was one of our favs. We only had 45 min to look at the museum and we were told to go right for the Presidential portraits. Which we did. On the way you go through a cool outdoorsy type area that is covered. There were some water features in there which our son loved.

The gift shop here is an added bonus which carries lots of nice items.

5/5. Highly recommend. We'll go again next time in DC.
