Visiting the Statue of Liberty was an unforgettable experience. As I approached Liberty Island by ferry, the grandeur of Lady Liberty standing tall against the New York skyline took my breath away. The sense of history and symbolism that surrounds this iconic monument is palpable.
Climbing up the pedestal and then into the crown was an adventure in itself, albeit a bit claustrophobic due to the narrow spiral staircase. However, the panoramic view of New York Harbor from the crown was well worth the effort. It's a unique vantage point to appreciate the city's skyline and the vastness of the harbor.
Exploring the museum on Liberty Island was informative, providing insights into the statue's history, design, and the enduring message of freedom it represents. Learning about the statue's origins as a gift from France to the United States added to its significance.
The experience was made even more memorable by the knowledgeable park rangers who shared interesting stories and facts about the statue. Overall, the Statue of Liberty is not just a symbol of freedom but also a testament to the enduring spirit of democracy. It's a must-visit landmark that left me with a profound sense of patriotism and appreciation for the values it stands for.

Atrocious! Abysmal scenes reminiscent of war time soup kitchen lines.
The day I was unlucky enough to have been tricked into buying a ticket, they had clearly overbooked massively. Not only were we forced to stand for interminable lengths of time in the sweltering summer heat waiting for the anti-climatic boat ride to Liberty Island. They even have the cheek to set up a booth selling cold water bottles for an extortionate amount. Ripping off their customers even more after they've already paid through the teeth for the actual boat ride.

I loved it my family did the same. Very interesting part of American history. The food was 2 of 5. I missed to drink an espresso at the island and stirring at New York, unfortunately no restaurants 😢. Overall, the ride on the boat was a beautiful experience. It is worth the price.
